The Vegas Golden Knights are banking those points early this season.

The Knights and Montreal went to a shootout and Vegas emerged win a 3-2 win behind the goaltending of netminder Adin Hill before an announced crowd of 17,791.

The Knights’ nine wins in their first 10 games include three wins in shootouts, with victories over the Canadiens, Kings and Stars. VGK still have not lost a game in regulation play, knocking out 19 out of a possible 20 points.

VGK coach Bruce Cassidy said there’s still room for improvement in the team’s play. After the game, LVSportsBiz.com asked Cassidy how difficult will it be to get the players to buy into improving their team performance when the Knights were nearly perfect in nailing all 20 points in ten games.

Cassidy said the messaging will be less harsh, will an approach of asking and reminding players to do things instead of directing them to play a certain way.

Paul Cotter gave the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead after one period with a power play goal.

Here are some looks at how much it costs to get into tonight’s VGK vs Montreal game.

And Ticketmaster:

After Hill flubbed a play that led to a Montreal goal, William Carrier finished a rush by tipping home a pass from Chandler Stephenson.

Cassidy liked Hill’s play after the mistake that allowed Sean Monahan to score an easy shorthanded goal at 5:38 of the second period.

Former Knights Nick Suzuki scored the game-tying goal with about four minutes left in the third period, sending the game into OT.

Both Adin and Montreal goalminder Sam Montembeault were outstanding.

Jonathan Marchessault and Shea Theodore scored in the shootout to deliver the VGK win. Jack Eichel was denied.

The Knights are 9-0-1 and face Winnipeg on Thursday.
