The Sphere will be used to help promote Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas, LVSportsBiz.com has learned.

Few details were provided, but the MSG Sphere, which helped bring attention to the NBA Summer League in July, will be part of the lineup of local Las Vegas attractions that will be pumping up the NFL’s premier event at Allegiant Stadium in February.

The Sphere cost $2.3 billion — even more than the overall Allegiant Stadium project budget of just under $2 billion. Located just east of the Strip, the Sphere debuted in its lit glory July 4, creating a stir among both locals and tourists.

LVSportsBiz.com checked out the 18,000-seat music venue on Sunday.

The Sphere is also directly connected to the F1 race in Las Vegas.

The 3.8-mile counter-clockwise course runs next to the Sphere property behind the Venetian, with the high-tech venue selling seats for fans to watch the grand prix under a partnership with the F1 race. Formula One has three races in the United States — Austin, Miami and now Las Vegas.
