On the day before Halloween, the Raiders were a horror Sunday.

Going into Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, the Las Vegas Raiders had lost four games. But each game that ended with a loss was competitive for the Raiders, which lost each of those four games by six points or less.

On Sunday, the Raiders were pummeled by the Saints, mustering only 73 yards of offense in the first half and losing, 24-0, in New Orleans Sunday.

The Saints led the Raiders, 17-0, at the half and 24-0 after third quarters.

The Raiders offense never got untracked, while Saints running back Alvin Kamara scored three touchdowns against a uninspired Raiders defense.

The Raiders, which had won two of their last three games and appeared poised to make a run, fell to 2-5 and will hang around in the East this week as they play the Jaguars in Jacksonville in a week.

This season has been so stable compared to last season’s crazy rollercoaster ride but it did end with four straight wins during the regular season and a 10-7 season. While there has not been much drama with the Raiders this season, there also hasn’t been many wins.

The Raiders are in last place in the AFC West and the playoffs seem so far away. The Raiders are 0-4 on the road this season.

The reaction was not pretty.

The Raiders’ offense was so anemic that the team didn’t snap a down on the Saints side of the 50 yard line until there was 2:20 left in the game. Carr was 15 of 26 for 101 yards and one interception. Davante Adams, the Raiders’ much-publicized acquisition in the offseason, caught a single pass for a grand total of three yards.
