The boys were back.

After three Vegas Golden Knights coaches, VGK defenseman Alex Pietrangelo and a Knights taxi squad player were in COVID protocol as three VGK games were postponed in seven days, the Golden Knights players hit the ice for practice at the City National Arena training center in Summerlin Wednesday.

The Knights are on schedule to play the Los Angeles Kings Friday at T-Mobile Arena.

“You never want to miss a week, but we’ve done things like this in the past with our bye weeks and all-star breaks,” VGK captain Mark Stone said. “We’ve come back, had a couple of practices and had to play. It’s not completely out of the ordinary for us, so we’ll be ready to go on Friday.”

Also, the Knights have a new player on the taxi squad.

Wherever I am, I’m just trying to get better,” Korczak said. “Hopefully I stick here, but I just want to get better every day and hopefully end up here by the end of the year.
