Henderson Silver Knights Show Public Their New Jersey, Uniform Monday Evening; Minor League Sweater Starts At $129.99

The Vegas Golden Knights lost millions of game revenue because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but they did have a new minor league team in Henderson that revealed a new jersey Monday evening that will at least give VGK owner Bill Foley some revenue in new sweater sales.

The Henderson Silver Knights are the Vegas Golden Knights’ top minor league affiliate after Foley used a team in Chicago to be the Triple A team in the American Hockey League. The Silver Knights will initially play at Orleans Arena before they move into a new Henderson Events Center arena at the site of the old Henderson Pavilion that will cost $84 million.
On Tuesday, the Vegas Golden Knights will meet media to show new Lifeguard Arena, which is the community ice center in downtown Henderson near city hall where the Silver Knights will practice.
The new 6,000-seat Henderson Events Center arena where the Silver Knights will eventually play their games is about seven miles away, with both the Golden Knights and the city of Henderson each paying $42 million for the $84 million arena project. An opposition group argued no public money should be used for the Silver Knights arena off Green Valley Parkway in Henderson and that there were better locations for the venue, which will also host city events.
The new Silver Knights jerseys are on sale now on VegasTeamStore.com and a limited number will be available for purchase in person tomorrow at The Arsenal at City National Arena in Summerlin and The Livery at Lifeguard Arena in Henderson at 10 a.m.
