Golden Knights’ ‘Gold Friday’ Holiday Sale Lures Hundreds To Team Store At Summerlin Practice Center Friday Morning Before Afternoon VGK Game

The Golden Knights might be only a game above a .500 record, but the power of the Vegas Golden Knights brand was in full bloom this morning when more than 500 fans waited on line to get into the VGK team store for “Gold Friday” at the team’s practice center in Summerlin.

VGK Chief Marketing Officer Brian Killingsworth said the first fans arrived at 3 a.m. for the 8 a.m. store opening. Here’s our chat with Killingsworth:

Let’s take a look at a few items.

The Knights are selling three different types of bicycles. There’s a kid’s bike that Chance the mascot is pedaling for $359. An adult single-speed coaster is selling for $499. And an adult seven-speed bicycle selling for $699. You have to pre-order the bike, with the option of receiving it in a box for you to assemble or paying a $50 fee to have it assembled for you by the VGK. The bikes should arrive in the second week of December.

The Golden Knights are selling player game-worn equipment and locker room items such as name plates. This is Marc-Andre Fleury’s glove he used in the playoffs last season. The glove and blocker set is $10,000.

Perhaps the locker room player name plates fit your budget better.  The name plates sell for $50 each.

The VGK family sticker set good for adorning the rear car window sells for $25.

The Knights were selling the Fleury “Superman Save” print showing the VGK goalie making a save to preserve a recent win over the Toronto Maple Leafs and to celebrate Flower’s 450th career win. The team printed 450 posters.
