Golden Knights Players Should Stick To Hockey

Juggling a soccer ball among teammates is a common pre-game rite for NHL players.

But Vegas Golden Knights players took the good-hearted warm-up to a higher level before Thursday’s Knights’ 6-5 overtime win over the St. Louis Blues.

VGK linemates Ryan Reaves and William Carrier, along with goalie Malcolm Subban, were in the bowels of T-Mobile Arena near the loading dock with the soccer ball when the ball got stuck in the ceiling pipes. J. Tyge O’Donnell was there to snap this photo.

Carrier emerged from behind the curtain with three hockey sticks duct-taped together and attempted to recover the soccer ball.

Reaves cracked,  “Is that my game stick?”

Carrier responded: “Yea.”

Reaves: “Noooo!”

And Subban just shook his head.

See you at the Top of the Escalator for today’s 7:30 p.m. game between the Golden Knights and the New York Islanders.
