The Las Vegas Aces finished fourth out of 12 WNBA teams with its win over the Phoenix Mercury Sunday, and will host a playoff game on a busy Sunday afternoon for sports in Las Vegas.

The Aces, owned by MGM Resorts International, finished the season with a record of 21-13 and will play 2 p.m. at Thomas and Mack Center Sept. 15 — the same day the Vegas Golden Knights launch their preseason by hosting the Arizona Coyotes at T-Mobile Arena. The VGK game starts at 3 p.m.

Sunday is also a big day for Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is hosting a 400-mile NASCAR race. The Speedway hosts two NASCAR weekends a year. The other NASCAR weekend is in March.

As the WNBA’s number four seed, the Aces will host the highest remaining seed coming out of the 5 vs. 8 and 6 vs. 7 first round match-ups.
