T-Mobile Arena vs. Staples Center Is Also Very Competitive In VGK-Kings Attendance

The Vegas Golden Knights and Los Angeles Kings have played three one-goal games, with the Knights emerging with wins in all three.

 

And attendance at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles has been just as close.

 

Game 2 attendance at T-Mobile Arena: 18,588 (record for a Knights game)

 

Game 3 attendance at Staples Center: 18,484.

 

And here’s the twist.

 

The owner of the Staples Center also owns a piece of T-Mobile Arena.

Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), owned by Colorado billionaire oilman and real estate tycoon Phil Anschutz, owns the Kings, Staples Center and a 42.5 percent share of T-Mobile Arena.

 

The Golden Knights’ home venue is is also owned by MGM Resorts International, which also owns 42.5 percent of the arena, and Golden Knights owner Bill Foley, who owns 15 percent of the Las Vegas venue.

 

The Golden Knights-Kings Game 4 is at Staples Center Tuesday at Game 4. The Knights win the round one series with a victory Tuesday night.
