LAS VEGAS, Nevada — On Thanksgiving Eve, the Golden Knights played another regulation tie game and lost in a shootout to the Ottawa Senators Wednesday night.

Just the facts: The VGK spotted Ottawa, 2-0 and 3-1 leads before tying the game on Mark Stone’s goal in the third period in Stone’s return to the lineup after recovering from an injury. After a scoreless overtime, the Senators won the shootout, 1-0.

VGK goal scorers: Brett Howden his 4th of the season in the first period; Jack Eichel his 11th of the season in the second period; Mark Stone his 3rd in the third period to tie the game at three each. On Stone’s return, VGK coach Bruce Cassidy said, “I thought Mark was excellent.”

Key save: Ottawa goalie Linus Ullmark stopped Jack Eichel on a breakaway in the third period. Citing Ullmark’s third period saves, Cassidy said, “Their goalie won them the game.”

Record: The Knights have won ten games in regulation and lost five, with another six OT losses and two shootout losses. Vegas is now 10-5-8 for 28 points in 23 games.

Schedule: The Golden Knights play Montreal at 1 PM Friday and San Jose at 7 PM Saturday.
