Golden Knights goal scorers: Jack Eichel, 17th goal of season, in first period; Pavel “Alf” Dorofeyev, fifth, and Nic Roy, sixth, both in second period; Eichel’s second of game and 18th of season in third period; Roy’s second of the game and seventh of season in third period.

Storyline: Vegas back in the win column after losing six of prior seven games.

Attendance: 18,312

 

VGK record: 23 wins, 12 losses, five losses after 40 games for 51 points, second place in Pacific Division.

Goalie rebound: A slumping Logan Thompson stopped 28 of 30 Islanders shots and picked up the W.
