Mark Davis enjoyed a doubleheader sweep Sunday.

During Sunday afternoon, the Raiders owner watched his NFL teams throttle the San Francisco 49ers, 34-7, in the preseason opener at Allegiant Stadium.

Then Sunday evening, Davis sat courtside and witnessed his Las Vegas Aces defeat the Atlanta Dream, 86-65. The Aces have won 27 of their 30 games this season and have won 20 straight inside Mandalay Bay’s Michelob Ultra Arena.

The Aces recognized their coach, Becky Hammon, before the game for being inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame.

By the Aces’ high-scoring standards, the WNBA’s defending champs played raggedly in the first half. The Aces made only 34 percent of their shots in the first 20 minutes as they led, 36-30, at the half.

But the fourth quarter, the Aces pulled away, leading by as much as 18 points with three minutes to go in the game, 80-62.

Attendance was announced at 8,564.

A’ja Wilson had 21 points, while Jackie Young chipped in with 17. Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Gray each scored 13 and Cayla George added 11 off the bench, including a trio of three-pointers.

As usual, Davis sat courtside at midcourt, rooting on his Aces.

He chatted with friends during breaks and even Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan attended the Aces win, too, after watching the Raiders take care of business against the 49ers in the preseason game earlier in the day at the stadium right across Interstate 15 from the Aces’ arena.
