Well, this might be awkward.

The Golden Knights found out Monday evening the team they will play in the Western Conference Final.

It’s the Dallas Stars, coached by Pete DeBoer — the Golden Knights coach only a year ago who was fired for failing to lead the VGK into the playoffs in 2021-22.

After the Dallas Stars defeated the Seattle Kraken, 2-1, in Texas Monday, the National Hockey League released the WCF schedule. Take a look:

You’ll notice that VGK vs Dallas Game 2 is Sunday at 12 Noon.

And assuming there is a Game 5, it’s Saturday May 27 at 5 PM — just an hour before the Las Vegas Aces have their season-opener and banner-raising ceremony at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay at 6PM.
