Tom Brady never played for the Las Vegas Raiders. UFC Prez Dana White tried his best to get Brady to play quarterback for the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.

But at least Brady is on the brink of owning a piece of the Raiders.

The former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback, according to numerous news reports, is talking with Raiders owner Mark Davis about buying a minority share of the NFL team. The Raiders are valued at more than $5 billion thanks to their publicly-subsidized stadium in Las Vegas.

Davis has already sold Brady a a minority share of the WNBA Las Vegas Aces.

It’s become common for former sports stars to buy into teams’ ownership groups.

Will LeBron James one day own an NBA team in Las Vegas? He’s talked about it.
