More than a year ago, New Orleans needed to shift its Super Bowl hosting job because of a schedule conflict with Mardi Gras. So NFL owners gave the Super Bowl to New Orleans in 2025, moving it from 2024.

So with the 2024 Super Bowl slot open, the Las Vegas Raiders last year pitched the NFL on holding the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in February 2024.

Word is that the NFL will announce the Super Bowl coming to Las Vegas this week — which comes as no surprise after New Orleans decided to host the Super Bowl in 2025.

Las Vegas is already hosting the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl in February and the NFL Draft on the Strip in April.
