Those rocket-like open-wheel cars move fast and so are Las Vegas’ hotel-casino companies trying to cash in on Vegas’ latest shiny sports toy — the Formula 1 grand prix race that will include a big chunk of the Strip in November 2023.
Last week, MGM Resorts International rolled out a Las Vegas grand prix package for Formula 1 fans. This time, it’s Wynn Las Vegas, with the Las Vegas-based hotel-casino company dazzling F1 fans with a million-dollar offering that provides six people who come up with the $1 million a package deal of VIP experiences for the race that happens a year from now in Las Vegas.
“We combined the most exclusive access points across the track with Wynn’s ultra-luxury accommodations and amenities to offer a package better than ever before and create the greatest race weekend imaginable,” said Emily Prazer, chief commercial officer of the Nov. 18, 2023 race that is officially called, “Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix..

For each $1 million six-person package purchased, F1 and Wynn Las Vegas will make a donation of $100,000 to local philanthropic efforts.
