The much-hyped F1 grand prix race down the Las Vegas Strip is set for a Saturday night start at 10PM on Nov. 18 on the weekend before Thanksgiving 2023.

The grand prix’s opening ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 15, while practice on Nov. 16 with qualifying on Nov. 17, the Friday before the Saturday night race.

“The Las Vegas Grand Prix is going to take F1 race weekends to the next level,” Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1 president/CEO, said in a prepared statement. “Staging a grand prix in the sports and entertainment capital of the world has allowed us to plan a truly spectacular celebration that has never been seen in our sport before, in the greatest arena on earth. ”

Here’s a look at the course:

Two weeks ago, LVSportsBiz.com reported the entire length of the 3.8-mile, 14-turn route will be paved in the second quarter of 2023.

The route will be a counter-clockwise circuit and include other roads like Koval Lane, Sands Avenue and Harmon Avenue.  The race includes a 1.2-mile section on the Strip, a southbound stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard.
