Heat Is On: Raiders Prep In Triple Digit Temps Wednesday For Season-Opener Against Chargers In LA Sunday

It’s 12 noon at Raiders training camp at team HQ in Henderson in the south Vegas valley, a mere four days before the team with the new GM and head coach plays its first game of the 2022 NFL season.
The furnace-like heat courtesy of the Las Vegas heat wave didn’t stop General Manager Dave Ziegler, marking his 44th birthday today, from strolling over to the tight ends and greeting the players like Darren Waller.
The Raiders finished their preseason with an unblemished 4-0 record and limited mistakes like penalties during exhibitions wins against the Jaguars, Vikings, Dolphins and Patriots.
Raiders owner Mark Davis was in Seattle last night watching his Las Vegas Aces defeat the Seattle Storm to clinch a spot in the WNBA Finals, which starts Sunday here in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay at 12 noon.
Less than 90 minutes later that same Sunday, the Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers begin their 2022 seasons at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
Nobody remembers the Raiders practicing in such heat. The media took photos and filmed video for about 15-20 minutes and were shepherded back into the media room at HQ. There were no complaints about reuniting with the AC.
