UNLV Basketball Will Require Fans To Show Vaccination Proof To Attend Rebels Home Games At Thomas & Mack Center

Taking a vaccination requirement page from the Las Vegas Raiders, UNLV Athletics will require proof of vaccination for all fans attending Runnin’ Rebels basketball games at Thomas & Mack Center on campus.
And like the Raiders policy, the UNLV basketball vaccination requirement will allow fans to attend home hoops games to not wear masks if they show the proof of the COVID-19 vax.
UNLV Athletics and the Raiders are following Gov. Steve Sisolak’s directive regarding large events with at least 4,000 fixed seats. If attending fans show proof of vaccination, they can pass through the turnstiles and not wear a mask inside the venue.
The UNLV basketball game policy will start to the 2021-22 season, which starts Nov. 10.

After much thought and reviewing all feedback, we have decided to require vaccinations to attend UNLV basketball games at the Thomas & Mack Center for this season. The best way to protect yourself and others from this virus is to be fully vaccinated and we encourage all to get vaccinated if they haven’t already done so. Details regarding the process for fans to provide proof of vaccination to attend UNLV basketball games at the Thomas & Mack Center will be announced in the coming days. Season ticket holders and those who purchased mini plans or single-game tickets will receive an e-mail in the near future with details.

The Vegas Golden Knights do not require proof of vaccination for their home games at T-Mobile Arena. Fans are required to comply with the state/local indoor mask mandate, but many do not at VGK home games. Speaking of the Golden Knights, they were blanked in Toronto tonight, losing to the Maple Leafs, 4-0, as the undermanned Knights were missing a half-dozen forwards because of injuries. The Knights are 4-5 after nine games this season.
