The Vegas Golden Knights have moved their communications chief, Eric Tosi, into the chief marketing officer position and filled Tosi’s former communications job with the hiring of former Washington Capitals communications head Nate Ewell, who is now the VGK’s vice president, communications and content.

Ewell now leads the Golden Knights’ communications, content and PR efforts. He will also be a spokesman for the Foley Entertainment Group, which is owner Bill Foley’s sports and entertainment company overseeing the Golden Knights, the AHL Henderson Silver Knights and a new Indoor Football League team, the Vegas Knight Hawks. The Silver Knights and Knight Hawks will play in Foley’s new Dollar Loan Center arena in Henderson.

As the team’s new chief marketing officer, Tosi replaced Brian Killingsworth, who worked more than four years on the Golden Knights’ brand development and sales operations.

Before being hired by the Golden Knights in December 2016 as communications VP, Tosi spent 10 seasons with the Boston Bruins, where he served as the team’s Director of Communications and Content. Tosi joined the Bruins in 2007 after three seasons with Red Bull New York of Major League Soccer. He began his career in the Media/Public Relations Department of the NFL’s New York Jets.

He’s a Princeton grad and worked as an adjunct professor at Georgetown.
