Yes Las Vegas, That’s Snow: What Would You Expect In Hockey Vegas USA?

By Alan Snel of LVSportsBiz.com

Well, Las Vegas has turned into the hockey town of the desert, a place where a medieval name like Golden Knights is spilled onto jerseys and hats and all types of homemade aprons, dog coats and key chains.

So naturally, the NHL season is going to include a little snow, right?

On assignment this morning

Social media is spilling over with photos of people’s kids sliding down hills, dogs sniffing the flaky outdoor white stuff and fans getting ready for tonight’s VGK vs St. Louis Blues game at the Big Ice House by the Strip.

The photographers got up early to trek out to Red Rock Canyon for the snowy pregame action before the Knights contest.

In February 2019, it actually did snow on a night when the Golden Knights played. I recall VGK flagman Matt Helfst waving his flag outside T-Mobile Arena while flurries were flying in the Las Vegas metro area.

Expect lots of snow coverage on the local TV stations and your social media platforms filled with show photos today.

I guess Las Vegas is a hockey town after all.
