Pietrangelo Will Wear 7 On His VGK Jersey

Defenseman Alex Pietrangelo, the Vegas Golden Knights’ prized signing, met the media through the Internet Tuesday after he signed a seven-year deal worth $61.6 million, averaging $8.8 million a year in salary.

Pietrangelo, the former St. Louis Blues captain who led the Blues to the Stanley Cup title in 2019, said he will wear a VGK jersey bearing the number 7. He said he told VGK defenseman Shea Theadore, who wears 27 for the Knights, that he would not take his number.
