MGM Resorts International is all in with actor/musician Jamie Foxx, hiring the popular entertainer to be the pitchman for its BetMGM’s new “The King of Sportsbooks” Campaign.

Fox event tweeted a minute-long spot on his Twitter account to peddle the BetMGM sports betting platform as sports gambling is now a mainstream activity in the sports industry and seen as a key revenue maker for Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts.

“Jamie is an exceptional talent and we’re proud to have him partner with us on our new campaign for BetMGM,” said BetMGM’s Chief Marketing Officer Matt Prevost.

The King of Sportsbooks campaign is the next step in the evolution of the BetMGM brand and Jamie brings a unique ability to tell our story in an incredibly creative and entertaining way,” he said. BetMGM exists at the intersection of sports and entertainment and Jamie fits this positioning perfectly; we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him to the BetMGM family.”

MGM has used signage of the BetMGM brand on its Luxor hotel-casino exterior and even its NY-NY parking garage to hype the sports betting platform. Several other Las Vegas-based hotel properties like Circa have been also in the sports betting game.

BetMGM, the joint venture between MGM Resorts (NYSE: MGM) and GVC International (LSE: GVC), and the Las Vegas Raiders also announced recently that BetMGM is now an Official Sports Betting Partner of the Raiders.
