The Las Vegas Raiders and the other 31 NFL teams will close their offices Nov. 3 so that every person who works for an NFL team or the NFL can vote on Election Day in two months.

Speaking of the Raiders, the NFL team has signed up another sponsor. Homie, a real estate company known eliminating high fees and commissions, the “Official Real Estate Partner of the Raiders.” Under the deal, fans will get the opportunity to learn more about the Raiders’ new stadium via the Homie website and app. The Homie “Sold Listing” of Allegiant Stadium will include details about the venue and a 3D virtual stadium tour.
“The percentage of mortgage payments that are late, undoubtedly due to financial hardship during this unprecedented economic and healthcare crisis, continues to rise,” said Kris Cuaresma-Primm, general manager of Homie in Las Vegas. “At Homie, we want Southern Nevadans to know we have their back and will help them stay in their homes by providing assistance to pay their mortgage and utility bills.”
“We are pleased that our partnership with Homie consists of elements that assist with community efforts during these unprecedented times,” said Raiders President Marc Badain. “This partnership also allows for the public to gain virtual access to Allegiant Stadium giving them an exclusive look at the new home of the Raiders.”
Summer Tapasa-Sataraka, the former Best Buy security worker who stopped a would-be thief from taking an item from the store in Hawaii without paying but got fired for her deed, is the newest employee at Las Vegas-based UFC courtesy of UFC boss Dana White.
White was so impressed with Tapasa-Sataraka’s physically stopping the thief that he offered her a job — and she accepted the gig working security for the MMA fight promotion organization.
Derek Stevens’ new Circa hotel-casino is looking to hire 100 workers for the facility’s multi-level pool amphitheater called Stadium Swim on Sept. 14 and 15. The jobs are for cocktail servers, bartenders, barbacks, server assistants, food runners, lifeguards, pool hosts and box office cashiers. A resume must be submitted at www.circalasvegas.com/stadium-swim-tryouts/ and a reservation confirmation must be received to attend the audition. The event will run from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. on both days and take place inside Downtown Las Vegas Events Center’s indoor tent. Applicants must be 21 or over, and protective face coverings and swim wear are required to audition.
Social distancing will be implemented for all auditions. Applicants are to only participate in their desired position’s time slot but can note if they are interested in other openings. Parking is available at Fremont Street Experience and the Carson lot. the $1 billion Circa Resort & Casino will be Downtown Las Vegas’ first ground-up casino resort since 1980. The 1.25-million-square-foot, 777-room resort will feature the world’s largest sportsbook, stylish rooms and suites, a collection of original restaurant and bar concepts and more. The Sports Business Daily is reporting that the NFL travel parties will be decreased in the age of COVID-19: “The NFL has further limited the number of staff allowed to travel with players to road games this year from 110 to 70, a 36% cut from earlier COVID prevention rules published less than two weeks earlier. Teams are scrambling to allocate such limited space, and may even turn to cars or commercial flights for those who don’t make the cut.”
