Apparently — if football fans are allowed to attend games at the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium given these COVID-19 pandemic times– the cost for a secondary market ticket to enter the palatial domed sports venue will be mighty steep for the stadium’s first-ever regular season game.

Check out the cheapest resale ticket price for one of the worse seats in Allegiant Stadium — $546 for a seat in section 304, row 15 to see the Raiders host the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees Sept. 21. That was as of Sunday at 1 p.m.

 

That’s not a typo, as they say.

Check out the Raiders’ own seating chart showing the least expensive season ticket cost for 2020 — $650 for the entire season for sections 303 and 421. That about a hundred bucks more than the cheapest single game ticket on the secondary market for the first-ever regular season game at Allegiant Stadium Sept. 21.

The Raiders have hit the jackpot for ticket revenue and also for the money generated from personal seat licenses, the fee that season ticket holders must pay just to get the opportunity to buy a season ticket deal. The most expensive personal season license came in at $75,000 for a season ticket cost of $4,500 in the club level. That $650 season ticket? It cost only $500 for a personal seat license to snag that section 421 or 303 seat.

But will there be NFL football games this fall with the country coping with a coronavirus pandemic? And if there are games, will NFL and Raiders fans be allowed to attend their stadiums? It’s too early to say.

But if the game are on and the fans can go, you better have the cash to get into Allegiant Stadium Sept. 21 for that Raiders-Saint game — the first-ever regular season game at the new stadium in Las Vegas.

 

By the way, the average Raiders ticket cost in 2018 in Oakland was $81.75, according to Team Marketing Report, which tracks the prices of tickets and the cost of a family of four to attend major league sports games. The average NFL game ticket was $100.26 in 2018.
