Raiders fans will likely pay much more in Las Vegas for tickets and other stadium items.

The Raiders ranked 23rd out of 32 NFL teams for the cost of a family of four to attend a home game in 2019, according to the Team Marketing Report’s Fan Cost Index.

It cost $492.10 for that family of four to attend a home game at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum, but the publisher of Team Marketing Report expects that number to jump when the Raiders move into the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in 2020.

“Fans can definitely expect a jump in prices. Going back the last ten seasons to 2010 which is five moves, the average ticket increase for a new stadium has been 27.6 percent and the average FCI increase has been 21.9 percent,” said Chris Hartweg, CEO and publisher of Team Marketing Report, which tracks fan costs in major sports leagues.

“If we apply those average increases to the Raiders numbers in Oakland this year, their average ticket in Vegas would jump to $111.99 and the new FCI climbs to just under $600 at $599.77,” Hartweg said after crunching the numbers.

“Given that that ticket price would only rank tenth most expensive this year, I can see (Raiders owner) Mark Davis feeling comfortable shooting for $120 or more. That would push their FCI above $630 and that’s also not that crazy as it would put their FCI right about where the Packers are at the fourth highest FCI this year,” Hartweg said.

Team Marketing Report compiled its Fan Cost Index by finding out the prices for four average priced general tickets, parking for one car and the least expensive, in-game pricing for: two draft beers, four soft drinks, four hot dogs and two (adult-size) team caps. In 2019, the Los Angeles Chargers led the NFL in the family of four costs with $820.56, while the Cincinnati Bengals were the least expensive at $403.20, according to Team Marketing Report.

The Raiders’ family of four attendance cost is expected to spike in 2020 when the NFL team inaugurates the new $1.9 billion, 65,000-seat, domed stadium in Las Vegas a 15-minute walk from the Strip on the west side of Interstate 15.

Let’s take a look at the Team Marketing Report Fan Cost Index for the NFL season in 2019.

The Raiders’ average ticket at the Coliseum is $87.78, even less than the average Vegas Golden Knights ticket of $100 at T-Mobile Arena.

Nine NFL teams have average ticket prices lower than the Raiders ticket cost.

The average NFL ticket is $102.35, about 15 bucks more than the average Raiders ticket price, according to TMR’s Fan Cost Index.

The 2019 NFL average price for a family of four to attend a game is $540.52, nearly $50 more than the Raiders’ family of four cost, according to TMR.

But wait until next season. The Raiders’ ticket revenues will be seeing a healthy increase in Las Vegas.
