Golden Knights fans said goodbye to Season 2 by painting the ice.

Golden Knights Fans Close Book On VGK Season 2 With Paint, Love And Ice

They came  to the Big Ice House by the Strip one final time in Season 2, and they left their paint and hearts on the ice to show their unbridled love for the their local hockey team, the Vegas Golden Knights.

It still hurt VGK fans to know their second-year team was so close to advancing to round two of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

On Wednesday, on a day during which the San Jose Sharks won another Game 7 to move to the Western Conference Finals against upstart St. Louis Blues, Golden Knights fans took to the T-Mobile Arena ice with brushes and paint to put their hearts on their sleeves and on the frozen surface.

LVSportsBiz.com photographer J. Tyge O’Donnell visited T-Mobile Arena to document the fans and their artwork.

Teams around the NHL have invited their fans to paint the home ice after their seasons have ended. The Golden Knights gave their season ticket holders a chance to paint the ice, though some season ticket holders reported that they were shut out from painting the ice.
