We’re closing in on a week now to wait for the Super Bowl, which could have matched up two completely different teams — the Saints and Chiefs — as easily as it did the actual two team that will play each other, the Patriots and Rams.

The Big Game or whatever bars call it these days is the closest thing this country to an unofficial official sports holiday and annual party in the middle of the winter, and it’s as much event as it is sports game.

Which makes it the perfect platform for William Hill the sports gambling giant to roll out hundreds and hundreds of prop bets for Super Bowl 53, set for Feb. 3 in Atlanta. First, the basics.

It’s the Costco of number, prop bet, mix-and-match possibilities coming from every sport and direction.

“Which will be more? Purdue Points. Sony Michel Rushing Yards.”

“Which will be more? Man City + Arsenal Goals. Chris Hogan Reception.

“Which will be more? Clippers First Quarter Points Rams Points.”

“Which will be more? Kyrie Irving Points & Assists. Patriots Points.”

They go on and on and on.

The sportsbooks in Nevada were quite busy for Super Bowl 52, taking in a record $158.5 million in wagers and I would not be surprised if that record is broken in 2019.
