The Raiders $1.8 billion stadium project is the main construction event just off the Strip, but the city of Henderson will celebrate a Raiders side show with a groundbreaking Monday for the NFL team’s $100 million headquarters on 55 acres near the Henderson Executive Airport.

The Silver and Black HQ will include a fieldhouse, office space, three practice fields and parking for at least 400 cars. The Raiders scored a nice $6 million deal to buy the city land, which was valued for more than what the Raiders purchased it for.

But the Raiders are here in metro Las Vegas because of Southern Nevada’s commitment to give the team a $750 million public subsidy for a stadium that will be constructed for $1.33 billion. The entire project budget is $1.8 billion, which includes money for land acquisitions, professional design costs and furniture/fixtures.

LVSportsBiz.com visited the stadium site and took these photos and video.

The Raiders stadium board is having a meeting Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Clark County Commission meeting room.
