Now come the free goodies for Vegas Golden Knights fans at T-Mobile Arena.

The Vegas Golden Knights’ historic inaugural season includes a final homestand this week during which fans will receive a variety of sports souvenirs to remind them that owner Bill Foley and his workers at their Summerlin headquarters appreciate their willingness to spend money on attending Golden Knights games.

At Monday’s game with the Colorado Avalanche, the Golden Knights will give away a team flag. LVSportsBiz.com will be covering this potentially historic game because if the Knights win, they will be the first major league sports team to make the playoffs in their inaugural season. Though, the Golden Knights — now leading the Pacific Division — is probably looking to win the division and not just get into the post-season.

A rare baseball single-signed by former Dodgers president Walter O’Malley, the 2008 Hall of Famer who moved the Dodgers to Brooklyn to Los Angeles in 1958,  has sold at auction for $28,096 to an undisclosed buyer.

Lelands Auction House handled the online auction with 34 bids. O’Malley, who died in 1979, rarely signed baseballs so the baseball with his autograph in good condition was a rarity.

Sister Jean, chaplain of Cinderella college hoops team Loyola-Chicago, is quite popular. My sportsbiz friend Darren Rovell at ESPN wrote that more than 20,000 stories in the past two weeks mentioned Sister Jean, while less than 10,000 stories mentioned Kansas basketball coach Bill Self.  Darren explained that Sister Jean said it was OK for Loyola to license her name and images. So, expect a few more Sister Jean bobbleheads and T-shirts

CBS’ 60 Minutes did a terrific segment on the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis “Greek Freak” Antetokounmpo. LVSportsBiz.com was also fascinated by the fact that the Greek Freak was an international sports marketing superstar for the Bucks and the NBA All-Star will help drive traffic to the NBA team’s new arena being built.

Here’s the interview.
