Raiders Drama: NFL Team Says Baltimore Ravens Back Out Of Maxx Crosby Trade

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — More drama at Las Vegas Raiders HQ today in Henderson where the NFL team posted a statement on their website saying the Baltimore Ravens have backed out of the blockbuster trade for Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby.

 

The Crosby-to-Ravens deal was a monster trade reported last week, when news spread of the Raiders swapping the popular face of the franchise to Baltimore for two number one draft picks, one this year which would have been the 14th overall selection and one in 2027.

The Raiders shut down Crosby for the last two games of the 2025 season, with the All-Pro defender dealing with past injuries.

The Raiders have been busy in the postseason, signing a new center, Tyler Linderbaum, a free agent from the Baltimore Ravens of all places.  Linderbaum is now the highest-paid center in NFL history with a three-year, $81 million deal that includes $69 million in guaranteed money.

The Raiders also unloaded former quarterback Geno Smith and a 2026 seventh round draft pick to the New York Jets for a 2026 sixth rounder.

The journeyman Smith had s subpar season under former Raiders coach Pete Carroll and returns to the Jets, which drafted him in the second round in 2013.

The Raiders picked Crosby in 2019 with the 106th overall pick and the feisty, unrelenting pass rusher went on to achieve five Pro Bowl selections.
