LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The NFL Raiders made their biggest player move since moving to Las Vegas in 2020, with news reports saying the Silver & Black have agreed to trade defensive end Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for first round draft picks in the 2026 and 2027 NFL Drafts.

The Raiders picked Crosby in 2019 with the 106th overall pick and the feisty, unrelenting Crosby went on to achieve five Pro Bowl selections.

But the Raiders made the postseason in only one of Crosby’s seasons in 2021 and after every loss the frustration in the 28-year-old defensive end was plain to see during postgame interviews.

Crosby played for a series of coaches from Jon Gruden to Pete Carroll.

Only a year ago the Raiders held a press conference to announce their extension of Crosby’s contract to make him the highest-paid non-quarterback at the time.

Now the heart and soul and the face of the iconic franchise is gone and the Raiders will use the first of two first round draft picks acquired from the Ravens in April’s NFL Draft event.

The trade will be made official next week after the start of the NFL’s new year. The Raiders now have the first overall pick and the 14th overall selection in April’s Draft.
