LAS VEGAS, Nevada — One of the Vegas Golden Knights’ original team staffers, Eric Tosi, has been named as the College Football Playoff’s newly-created Chief Brand Marketing and Communications Officer.

A former Boston Bruins employee, Tosi was the Golden Knights’ communications chief when the National Hockey League team started play in 2017.

In 2021, the VGK moved Tosi to their chief marketing officer position.

A College Football Playoff (CFP) statement said Tosi will lead CFP’s “integrated marketing, brand strategy and communications functions, supporting the continued evolution of the CFP. He will oversee efforts to enhance fan engagement, strengthen partnerships, and ensure consistent, impactful storytelling across all platforms and events.”

Tosi most recently worked as a strategic advisor on marketing and brand development projects for VGK owner Bill Foley’s Foley Entertainment Group, which included the Premier League soccer team AFC Bournemouth.

Tosi will be back in Las Vegas in a year because Allegiant Stadium will be hosting college football’s championship game in Jan. 2027.

In October 2025, LVSportsBiz.com broke the news that former VGK team president Kerry Bubolz  had resigned. The Knights’ most senior employee is Todd Pollock, who was the team’s original ticket sales chief who now has the official title of  “Vice President of Foley Hospitality Group Business Ventures.” Pollock will work closely with Foley Entertainment Group CEO Joe Leinacker on portfolio-wide guest experience initiatives and identifying new hospitality ventures.
