LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Here we go again.
UNLV will seek the Mountain West Conference football championship in Boise, Idaho Friday at 5 PM.
It’s just like a year ago when the powerful MWC Broncos defeated the UNLV Rebels in what turned out to be as Barry Odom’s last game as head coach.

How did we get here?
Well, UNLV and Boise State were among four teams locked at the top of the Mountain West with 6-2 conference records along with San Diego State and New Mexico.

Conference officials used four polls to spit out an average ranking and UNLV and Boise State finished, one and two.But then the Mountain West used head-to-head to determine home field and because Boise State defeated UNLV during the regular season, Friday’s Broncos-Rebels game will be played at Albertsons Stadium and its blue turf.

This is the third straight year that Boise State and UNLV have played in the MWC title game. The Broncos have won both championship showdowns.
