LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The Vegas Golden Knights are methodically grinding out wins along their march to a potential division championship.

The VGK defeated the Seattle Kraken, 2-1, Thursday night and racked up their 48th win of the season, leading the Pacific with 105 points.

The Golden Knights goal scorer were Ivan Barbashev (22) in period one and William Karlsson (9) in the second.

Jared McCann scored for Seattle to cut the vGK lead to 2-1, but the Kraken could not notch the equalizer.

Vegas goalie Adin Hill stopped 24 of 25 shots.

The Knights play their final home game Saturday when the Nashville Predators visit T-Mobile Arena.

The VGK reported attendance at 17,971.
