LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The Raiders are buying into Maxx Crosby, the face of an iconic sports franchise trying to return to greatness on the playing field.
The Raiders extended the contract of the 2019 fourth round (106th overall) draft pick out of Eastern Michigan who is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in the National Football League with a three-year deal worth $106.5 million, including $91.5 million in guaranteed money.
New coach Pete Carroll and General Manager John Spytek joined Crosby for the 11AM presser at the Raiders headquarters in suburban Henderson. Here are comments from the 6-foot-5, 255-pound defensive end named to his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl in 2024.
“This is obviously a big commitment,” Spytek said, thanking Raiders owner Mark Davis and others. “He’s about chasing championships.”
