HENDERSON, Nevada — Bill Foley is one NHL team owner with a vast business portfolio.

Now Foley’s business empire includes an item that turns heads.

His own bobblehead.

Foley’s minor league team in Henderson, the Silver Knights, handed out 3,000 Bill Foley bobbleheads before Saturday’s game at Lee’s Family Forum in the Green Valley area of Henderson. The Silver Knights’ are the Vega Golden Knights’ Triple-A team in the American Hockey League.

Not only does Foley owns the AFC Bournemouth soccer team in the Premier League and the Knight Hawks of the Indoor Football League, Foley also built the arena where the Silver Knights, Knights Hawks, Las Vegas Desert Dogs of the National Lacrosse League and pro volleyball’s Vegas Thrill play.

The Silver Knights attendance was announced at 4,167, which is more than the average attendance but not a sellout.

Foley was out of town so he was not at the arena to get his free bobblehead.

Foley hopes to improve T-Mobile Arena and says the Golden Knights’ home venue can also accommodate an NBA team.

But for now, he can enjoy his bobblehead. Not too many team owners are so popular that a bobblehead is made to honor their ownership.
