LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The Raiders have canned their general manager, too.

Tom Telesco is gone after one year.

The Raiders announced Thursday GM Telesco has been fired.

Telesco was fired two days after former head coach Antonio Pierce was canned Tuesday.

It’s unclear why owner Mark Davis did not sweep out Telesco and Pierce on Monday when NFL teams traditionally let their GMs and head coaches go.

Telesco, the former Chargers general manager, was hired a year ago when he was hired as GM and Pierce was appointed head coach after serving as interim coach to finish the final nine games of 2023.

Under Telesco/Pierce, the Raiders won four of 17 games, including suffering a ten-game losing streak in the 2024 season.

It looks as if Raiders minority owner Tom Brady is having an impact on Davis’ decisions about Pierce and Telesco. Brady was in Las Vegas this week for the CES trade show where he appeared at a Delta Airlines event at the Sphere.

This opens the door to hire a new GM, who, in turn, would name a new head coach for the Silver & Black.
