Antonio Pierce is very different from Josh McDaniels.
Pierce, named permanent coach by Raiders owner Mark Davis, talks freely with the media during his chats.
McDaniels, fired by Davis on Halloween night in 2023, was stiff. He talked a lot. But revealed little.
Just four days before Pierce coaches the Raiders against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, the Raiders coach fielded questions from the media in the Raiders press room at team headquarters in Henderson.
Here was LVSportsBiz.com’s first question:
I’m approaching the exact same way, to be honest. I mean, when I got the interim, I wasn’t trying to give it up. So, in my head I was permanent. — Raiders coach Antonio Pierce on whether he has changed from being an interim to permanent coach.
Then LVSportsBiz.com asked Pierce about the NFL game in Brazil between the Eagles and Packers and his thoughts on the league moving to more streaming.
