The A’s stadium on the Strip is still four years away, but their Triple-A team in Las Vegas is hawking a ticket deal that will give Aviators fans a priority for season ticket seats at the Athletics stadium scheduled to open in 2028.
The Las Vegas Aviators, the Triple-A team of the A’s, said today that all Aviators season ticket members are eligible for a season ticket priority seating selection benefit for the Athletics when they place a priority deposit at a future date in 2025. Sales for the Aviators 2025 season tickets begin Sept. 1 for current season ticket members and Oct. 1 for new season ticket members.
“As the Athletics’ affiliate, the Las Vegas Aviators are pleased to offer this priority seating benefit for the Athletics’ new ballpark,” said Don “Donny Baseball” Logan, Aviators president and COO.
The A’s hope to hold a groundbreaking in 2025 after the Tropicana hotel-casino site is cleared of all buildings and debris after the Trip gets imploded Oct. 9.
The MLB team, playing its final season in Oakland this year, said it believes it can build the $1.5 billion, 33,000-seat ballpark on only nine acre of the 35-acre site at the southeast corner of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.
The Aviators said that their season ticket members will get a chance to review seating options, and if desired, to buy seats in the Athletics’ new stadium before the general public. Both Aviators full- and partial-season ticket members are eligible for the benefit with higher priority given to full-season members. according to the Aviators.
A’s owner John Fisher says he and his family have the money to pay for the new A’s stadium on the Strip. The public is contributing up to $380 million to help build the domed stadium, though the A’s said the public contribution will be closer to $350 million.
