Series: Tied 2-2 after four games with Game 5 set for Dallas on Wednesday
VGK goal scorers; Michael Amadio in first period and Jack Eichel in second

Bottom line: Game 6 between two evenly-matched teams is guaranteed here in Las Vegas Friday.
He’s not one of the Vegas Golden Knights’ big names.
But Michael Amadio’s hustle and grit added a touch of toughness as the VGK came ready to play for Game 4 against the Dallas Stars Monday night.
Amadio scored the Knights’ opening goal in the first period by hustling to the net and barely getting the puck past Dallas netminder Jake Oettinger.
Amadio replaced Anthony Mantha in the lineup and added vital energy to the start of the game for the VGK after the Golden Knights came out flat and were outhustled by Dallas in the first period in Game 3. VGK coach Bruce Cassidy said the Vegas start two nights ago was “unacceptable.”
Vegas outplayed Dallas for the first 17 minutes of the first period. But former Knight Evangii Dadonov scored from an extreme angle when the puck deflected off of goalie Logan Thompson’s upper body near his shoulder and helmet and Dallas had a 1-1 tie heading into the first intermission.

In period two, VGK’s Jack Eichel stuffed in a shot by Jonathan Marchessault that hit the post and Vegas had a 2-1 lead.
But then the game pivoted.
Wyatt Johnston, who scored the game-winner in Game 3 OT, tied the game at two apiece.
Vegas came to play.
But Dallas clawed its way back and with 7:51 to go in the second period the Knights had only three more shots, 19-16, than the Stars.
The Stars made several attempts to score the go-ahead goal, but Logan Thompson made some terrific stops.
Buy Ty Dellandrea went high on Thompson and his shot went in.
Dallas took a 3-2 lead by the end of the second period.

The Golden Knights could not score the tying goal in period three.
Dallas played in a defensive shell for most of the period before Roope Hintz slid an empty-netter to seal the game’s fate.
