Las Vegas’ public tourism agency, the LVCVA, has approved spending $33.5 million on the National Finals Rodeo through 2035.
The board of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) approved $3 million annually from 2025-2035. The LVCVA board voted during its monthly meeting Tuesday for the NFR deal.
The LVCVA also OKed spending $500,000 for NFR marketing costs.
The vote was a formality because the rodeo and Las Vegas Events had already agreed in December to extend the National Finals Rodeo at Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV until 2035.
This year will be the 39th year for the NFR in Las Vegas. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctions the NFR and 650 other rodeos in 44 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces.
