Ticket Demand For Las Vegas Aces vs Indiana Fever Game July 2 Prompts Aces To Move WNBA Game To T-Mobile Arena From Michelob Ultra Arena

The two-time WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces say they are moving their July 2 game vs the Indiana Fever to T-Mobile Arena from the Michelob Ultra Arena.

This is the second home Aces game that will be played at T-Mobile Arena. When the Aces announced their 2024 home schedule, the Aces vs Chicago Sky game was slated for T-Mobile Arena. The Aces play 20 home games on their 40-game schedule.

LVSportsBiz.com asked the Aces why the Fever vs Aces game for July 2 was switched to the bigger arena. Aces spokesperson John “Giggy” Maxwell provided this response: “T-Mobile is obviously a larger venue (17,000-plus, compared to 10,000-plus at Michelob ULTRA Arena). We sold out five of our 20 home games as of late yesterday, three days after putting single game tickets on sale. Given the demand for this game, and given that T-Mobile was available, the decision was made to move the game to allow as many fans as possible to attend.”

The Indiana Fever team is expected to pick Iowa’s Caitlin Clark with the number one pick of the WNBA Draft April 15. The much-publicized Clark and her Iowa teammates play UConn in the NCAA women’s national semifinal game later today.

The Aces have three second round picks (Nos. 16, 18 and 24), and one third round selection (No. 36) in the WNBA Draft, set for a week from Monday at 4:30 PM PT.

The Aces provided some questions and answers about tickets for the July 2 Aces-Fever game.

Q: When will single-game tickets be available to purchase?

A: Wednesday, April 10 at 10 am PT.

Q: If I already purchased a ticket at Michelob Ultra Arena, when will I see my new ticket in my AXS account for T-Mobile?

A: Tickets will be removed and reloaded with a comparable seat into your AXS account by the end of April.

Q: What if I already transferred or sold my tickets?

A: No further action is needed. Your tickets will automatically be sent to the recipient to whom you sent the tickets.

Q: If I purchased an individual game ticket for Michelob Ultra Arena, may I get a refund?

A: Yes. If you’d like a refund, you will be receiving an email from AXS with instructions within the next few days.

Q: If I purchased an individual game ticket at Michelob Ultra Arena, may I select a different location for T-Mobile Arena?

A: Yes. You would follow the steps from AXS to request a refund and then purchase another ticket on April 10th when tickets go on sale.

The Aces’ season-opener is against Phoenix on May 14. Las Vegas sold out of its season ticket inventory last month, becoming the first team in WNBA history to do so.
