Just the facts: Nashville Predators 5 Vegas Golden Knights 3
Golden Knights goal scorers: Alex Pietrangelo scored his third of the season to tie the game at 1-1 in the first period; former Golden Knights player Cody Glass scored his second goal of the season with less than a minute left in the first period and Nashville led Vegas, 2-1 after the first period; Nashville then scored two unanswered goals in period two and led, 4-1, going into the third period. William Karlsson scored a power play goal, his 18th early in period two and Michael Amadio closed the gap to 4-3 with about three minutes to go. It was his ninth of the season. But a Nashville empty-netter by Gustav Nyquist sealed the win for the Preds.
Storyline: Lackluster VGK performance for first 40 minutes. Plus, goalie Adin Hall not his rock-solid self in goal.
