Both of Stone’s goals were shorthanded tallies. Eiche’s two scores included a power play goal. Karlsson scored both of his goals in the game’s final 11 minutes at 9:13 and 14:43 with the VGK leading 5-0 in a matchup of the last two seasons’ Stanley Cup champions.

The Knights led, 1-0, after the first period on third goal of the season.

Vegas then notched a team hat trick in each of the second and third periods to vanquish a talented Colorado team that entered the game with a 7-2-0 record.

William Carrier also scored for Vegas on Carrier game poster night.

Both Vegas and Vancouver lead the NHL in goal differential with a plus 26. Vancouver has played 11 games, compiling an 8-2-1 record.
