The average price for a ticket on the secondary market to attend a Vegas Golden Knights home game during Round 1 is $421, according to ticket search engine TicketIQ.
While $421 for a ticket to a VGK vs Winnipeg Jets game at T-Mobile Arena might sound like a lot, the Golden Knights’ secondary market ticket price ranks 10th out of 16 NHL playoff teams.
TicketIQ’s Greg Cohen said ticket pricesfor this year’s opening round are 11 percent less than 2021’s Round 1, 15 percent less than 2019, and 13 percent less than 2018. Take a look, via TicketIQ:
The New York Rangers games at Madison Square Garden during Round 1 top the secondary market ticket list at $1,329, while the Florida Panthers home games come in last at an average of $269 on the secondary market at the South Florida arena in Sunrise.
Golden Knights fans have been known to travel to Los Angeles to watch Kings-Knights games because secondary ticket prices in LA are typically lower than those in Las Vegas.
But even the LA Kings first round secondary ticket price of $497 is more than the Golden Knights price in Las Vegas. The Kings’ ticket price could be up because of the high demand among Edmonton Oilers fans who will be travelling to downtown Los Angeles to attend the Kings-Oilers Round 1 games.
Golden Knights season ticket holders who who buy playoff game tickets and promise to not re-sell the tickets get a discount price.
The Golden Knights practiced at T-Mobile Arena today, with winger Mark Stone and defenseman Zach Whitecloud on the ice.
Knights vs Jets Game 1 Tuesday is 6:30PM. Thursday’s Game 2 starts at 7 PM.
