Well, you might want to hold off on that Boston Bruins vs Vegas Golden Knights Stanley Cup final.

The Golden Knights have lost two consecutive games to St. Louis Saturday and now San Jose Tuesday night on home ice after winning 13 of their first 15 games of the season, including nine games in a row.

Against San Jose tonight, the bottom fell out quickly against a club normally dominated by the Golden Knights. With the Knights nursing a 2-1 lead entering the final period, the Sharks reeled off four straight goals, including two empty-netters, to leave Las Vegas with a 5-2 win.

The Golden Knights dropped to 13-4-0 and play Arizona Thursday in the final game of the three-game homestand at T-Mobile Arena.

The Knights had 1-0 and 2-1 leads thanks to goals by Jack Eichel (his 10th with only four seconds left in the first period) and Jonathan Marchessault (his 7th) in the second period.

The Sharks’ Matt Nieto tied the game only 63 seconds into the third period. Then, Timo Meier snapped the 2-2 tie with a goal with less than three minutes left in the period. Logan Couture polished off the Knights with an empty net goal about a minute later and Mario Ferraro added another empty-netter for the 5-2 final score.
