The Triple A Las Vegas Aviators announced their season attendance at 518,221 for their 75 home dates, good for 6,909 per game at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin.
At the time of its final home game Sunday, the Aviators (formerly the 51s) were leading the Pacific Coast League in attendance.
The Raiders made two front office moves.
Attorney Justin Carley, former Howard Hughes Corporation lawyer, is the Raiders’ general counsel, while 15-year Raiders employee Qiava Martinez was named chief sales officer.
Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan on the moves (via press release). “I made it clear when I joined the team earlier this summer that I would take the needed time to understand and evaluate each role within the organization. I believe that these two appointments exemplify that stance and herald the team’s next phase.”
Carley worked at Howard Hughes Corporation, the Summerlin master developer that also owns the Las Vegas Aviators Triple-A team and Las Vegas Ballpark (which received an $80 million naming rights deal from the LVCVA). Carley spent 13 years at the law firm of Snell & Wilmer in Nevada, where he led the construction litigation practice group, hiring committee, and attorney development committee.
Martinez was vice president of premium services and guest experience. In her new post, Martinez leads all sales and customer retention efforts for both the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium events.
Martinez was part of the team’s efforts in relocating to Las Vegas from Oakland.
She earned her degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley and also received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
The NFL Pro Bowl all-star game that is being held in Las Vegas is going to be officially non-contact with a flag football game and skills competitions.
It has a new name, “The Pro Bowl Games,” and Peyton Manning’s production company will promote the Pro Bowl Games content.
The flag football game will be staged at Allegiant Stadium Feb. 5.
