NBA, WNBA Launch Youth Basketball Leagues In 11 Markets, Including Las Vegas

Las Vegas is one of 11 markers across the country picked to have youth basketball leagues launched by the NBA and WNBA.

Boys and girls who are 6-14 can play in the leagues, which tip off in November.

The release noted, ” Jr. NBA Leagues in NBA or WNBA markets, including Las Vegas (Aces), New Orleans (Pelicans), Philadelphia (76ers) Sacramento (Kings), San Antonio (Spurs), Seattle (Storm), and Washington (Wizards and Mystics), will offer unique benefits and include exclusive experiences for youth players and parents to promote the game of basketball and generate excitement around the hometown teams.”

Speaking of the Aces, they improved their record to 17-7 after defeating the New York Liberty, 108-74, Thursday. A’ja Wilson led the way with 25 points, while Kelsey Plum scored 21.

The Aces play the Connecticut Sun Sunday.

Plum also has a new job. She’s a brand ambassador for GSTQ clothing.
