Bar/Restaurant Show In Las Vegas Has Appeal For Sports Venues

By Alan Snel of LVSportsBiz.com

Take a look at major league sports these days — and their venues.

Bigtime sports have become revenue-generating entertainment spectacles with food, drinks, bars and restaurants surrounding the football, basketball or baseball events.

That’s why the Bar & Restaurant Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center is attracting thousands of convention show attendees who want to learn more about the business of drinks besides getting free samples of booze at the convention center’s south hall.

The bar and restaurant show had everything from tequilas and beers to heaters/coolers and restaurant furniture.

On Tuesday, none other than former NASCAR driver Brendan Gaughan came out to cut the ribbon to get the convention’s booths started.

There was a touch of CES flavor with robotics in some of the displays. The show continues today at the Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall.
